We are at the beginning of 2021 and people trust and read blogs more than anything else. In fact, more than 77% of internet users read blogs daily that shapes a whopping 3.51 billion people per day.

These numbers are huge, but I think blogging still has more growth potential. Why? For one thing, bloggers are mostly honest people who are incredibly helpful in finding the best. Who doesn’t love to find the best of everything just by one or two minutes of online searching?

Apart from this, blogging is the easiest way to express yourself online. It is like you have the opportunity to build your own community within a matter of hours.

By blogging, you will have a platform to write and discuss your beloved niches. This niche can be Amish Friendship Bread or Spooky Little Halloween, or even weirder than these.

You don’t need to blog to earn money (of course you can if you want), but blogging can be you exposing your ideas to a community that wants those ideas.

That being said, let’s mention a few convincing reasons that may trick you into starting a blog :)

1. Building a community

While building a community used to be a costly and time-consuming act, now it is easier than always. Everyone can build a community from the comfort of their home just by starting a blog.

Soon after your blog goes live, and you have some of your thoughts published, you will attract an audience. Some of this audience may share the same idea with you, and thus they will become a member of your community.

2. Establish Authority

It will take some time and effort, but it is worth it.

When you use your blog; to constantly publish high-quality content and keep your audience updated, you will end up having an authority blog with the power to influence your audience and more.

3. Learn New Things

This one is quite lovely.

The way this works is that as soon as you have built your community, you will have a group of people (your audience) that are willing to listen to you. But it is not limited to this, they will also share their ideas with you. This way, you not only express your ideas but also listen to your community’s ideas, and you will learn a lot from them.

4. A Voice That Matters

When you are blogging, you do influence your community the most, but you also affect other communities. Yes, this is true. By building a community, you prove that you are worthy of listening to. Thus, every suggestion or critic you make will be taken seriously by everyone.

5. Earn Confidence

You may have different accomplishments and are confident in what you do. But the real thing is, blogging needs a different kind of confidence. A confidence that lets you express your ideas, criticize products, people, or opinions and sometimes argue with someone using text in the eye of the public.

6. Improve your Writing

In a world where everything is digital, it is a must to have good writing ability. By good writing, I don’t mean the ability to write academic articles or create long paragraphs, but instead, the ability to conduct your message understandably.

By blogging, you will be consistently expressing your ideas, and this will make you every day to search for a way of better representing those ideas. So, it will be just a matter of time that you come up with your own unique style of writing.

7. Who knows what might happen?

Or, to rephrase it, blogging opens the doors of opportunities for you. By blogging, you are expressing yourself, your set of beliefs, and your skills. Thus, there will come opportunities that you can’t even think of.

8. Satisfy Your Creative Side

Have you ever felt that now you have the power and time to do something meaningful, and hence you didn’t know what to do?

It had happened to me and would have happened to others too because we all have a creative side that needs to be satisfied. This side is sometimes satisfied by the works we do, and sometimes by the studying, but it is also good to try satisfying it by blogging. It worked for many and may work for you too.

9. Earn Some Money

Yeah, you can turn your blog into a profitable business, but that one is a big step, and it will need time and specific tools.

I would recommend not to start blogging as your full-time job, but instead, give it a little time like one hour per day until you build a community. It can take some months, or one or two years, and in some rare cases even more. So, better safe than sorry.

Wrap Up

We all have some extra time that we mostly waste. However, if we use this little extra time to blog about something we love, it would be both fun and useful.

By blogging, you can build a community, establish authority, learn new things, and many more. So, make sure to give it some thought!
